Abstract:
بیماری روماتیسم قلبی یکی از شایعترین علل مرگ و میر ناشی از بیماریهای قلبی و عروقی در کشورهای در حال توسعه می باشد. براساس بررسیهای انجام شده، میزان شیوع بیماری در جامعه و مدارس از ۱ الی ۲۲ در هر هزار نفر کودک می باشد. تخمین زده میشود که تعداد مبتلایان به بیماریهای مزمن روماتیسم قلبی در کشورهای در حال توسعه ۳۰ میلیون و در کشورهای صنعتی ۱ / ۵ میلیون باشد. بسیاری از موارد مرگ و میر ناشی از این بیماری را میتوان با استفاده از استراتژیهای در دسترس جامعه (برنامه های مراقبتهای اولیه بهداشتی) جلوگیری کرد.
